We recommend you use PAP therapy whenever you sleep, including during dedicated nap periods. You should take your PAP device and mask with you wherever you plan on sleeping, including business trips or vacations and even if you are being admitted to a hospital. It is important to use your prescribed PAP device as you would use any other prescription that your physician gave you.
The goal is to use PAP therapy throughout the whole night from beginning to end. However, healthcare standards define adequate use of CPAP as greater than 4.5 hours per night on a routine basis. |
