Patient Information

At CPAS, we believe that adequately educating our patients is just as important as helping them find the right equipment. The following information is aimed to help equip you with the information you need to make informed decisions about your sleep related medical equipment needs.

Precription Information

The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) requires us to collect a prescription for the purchase of all CPAP, auto CPAP, BiPAP/BiLevel devices, CPAP humidifiers, CPAP masks, and oxygen concentrators. We program the settings on your machine according to your doctor's order; therefore it is important to carefully adhere to the following prescription guidelines.
Prescription Guidelines Prescriptions must include the physician’s complete contact information. (Name, Address, and Phone) Prescriptions must be issued by a doctor licensed to practice in the United States. If purchasing a CPAP, make sure that the prescribed pressure setting is clearly visible on the prescription. If purchasing an auto CPAP, make sure that the prescribed pressure range is specified (e.g. 5-18 cm/h20). If purchasing a BiLevel, make sure the IPAP (high pressure) and the EPAP (low pressure) are indicated.

Submitting Your Prescription You can fax your prescription to 719-265-1920 . You can email your prescription to prescriptions@cpasdme.com . We will automatically match up your prescription with your order. If you do not have a copy of your prescription, we would be glad to contact your doctor and request the information for you. Please include the following in the comments section during the checkout process:   Your Physician’s: First Name Last Name Office Phone Office Fax
Oxygen Concentrator Prescriptions Oxygen concentrators require a prescription from your doctor stating the need for this equipment. The order does not need to specify an exact manufacturer unless that is a requirement set forth by your insurance company for reimbursement. Follow the above instructions for submitting your oxygen concentrator prescription.   If you have any questions, please call us at (719) 265-1987.

Payment Method | Insurance

In an effort to provide low-cost sleep equipment solutions directly to our patients, CPAS, The Medical Equipment Store at Delta Waves, accepts cash and credit card payments only. Often, purchasing medical equipment directly through CPAS is much less expensive than utilizing your insurance plan; especially if you have a high deductible. Additionally, since we are not dealing with insurance companies, we can devote our full attention to delivering more personalized patient care in a timely manner.   Most private insurance companies will reimburse for durable medical equipment at some level, but we are unable to guarantee reimbursement by any insurance company. Reimbursement is an agreement between you and your insurance company. If you are planning on seeking reimbursement, be sure to check with your insurance company prior to making a purchase.   If your insurance plan includes a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA), you may use the FSA / HSA Debit Card, Flex-Card, Visa, or MasterCard in the checkout. If your HSA or FSA card does not work in our checkout, it may mean that your card issuer has restricted the geographic area that your card can be used in. Please call your issuer directly if you have any questions regarding your HSA or FSA account and what it covers.
